Beamcomplex manufactures compact size modules that are intended for placement directly at water treatment facilities. Module can be integrated with existing treatment systems at water intake stations or desalination stations without halting the treatment process.

Electron beam treatment requires a prior advanced laboratory study of chemical, biological, bacterial and other species contained in water.
Module is a ready-to-install system
Module is a ready-to-install system of a container type, which consists of the following components:

  • Electron accelerator;
  • Radiation shield body;
  • In-built pipeline system for supplying water under electron beam;
  • Cooling system;
  • Ozone exhaust system;
  • Fire safety system;
  • Radiation monitoring and control system;
  • Control system;
And other supporting systems.

Power consumption
Electric power consumption: 100 to 450 kW/hour, depending on the power rating of electron accelerator and module's required capacity
The module may be placed directly at water intake facilities with the possibility of integration with an existing water purification system without halting of the process
Compact Size
Maximum dimensions:
  • 6m x 2.2m x 4m (metal shield);
  • 8m x 6.5m x 6m (concrete shield).
  • Module is equipped with radiation dose sensors.
  • Metal or concrete body ensure complete safety of employees from radiation
Module's capacity starts from 100 CBM per hour and above 1000 CBM per hour. It depends on contamination level and composition of contaminants in water, as well as the model of electron accelerator installed in the module.
Module is equipped with:

Electron accelerator: energy 5 MeV, power from 50 kW to 100 kW, operates in E-beam mode.

Radiation shield: Depending on the premises area and technical requirements of the customer, different materials may be used for radiation shield: concrete or metal.

Ozone exhaust system: there are two possible options for removal of ozone: 1. an exhaust system into the atmosphere where it will decompose within minutes, and 2. ozone decomposition process with catalysts.

Emergency shutdown system: in case of any accidental event the electron accelerator will be switched off automatically.

In-built pipeline system: supplies water for treatment into the ionizing irradiation area under electron beams.

Fire safety system: triggered in emergency situations. Electron accelerator will be switched off and fire extinguishing system will be turned on, in automatic or manual mode.

Control system: dosimetry, conveyor speed control, electron accelerator control, fire extinguishing, cooling, ventilation and emergency shutdown of the accelerator.
